Risk Watch TM

Developed by the National Fire Protection Association, Risk WatchTM is another school-based program modelled after the highly successful Learn Not to Burn®. Risk WatchTM is much broader in scope, however, teaching children life safety skills to prevent many childhood hazards such as drowning, traffic and bicycle accidents and poisoning, as well as fire and burn prevention. One Ontario school board conducted a comparison between Risk WatchTM and the new Ontario curriculum and found it to be an excellent fit in many different subject areas. Risk WatchTM was field-tested in the U.S. and in Brockville, Ontario, in 1997. It is now available throughout Canada.
