In addition to developing programs, one of the roles of the Council is to provide resources to support the implementation of the programs or through partnerships make other programs available to the fire service at reduced costs. To this end, the Council has partnered with key stakeholders and a variety of other organizations to provide valuable educational materials such as videos, pamphlets and children's activity books at no charge or at greatly reduced prices. Other partnerships involve the participation of major retailers. For example, Sealtest and Loeb Inc. agreed to place important fire safety messages on 5 million milk cartons and 2 million grocery bags. The Council's media partners publish or broadcast public service announcements free of charge.

Ontario's Credit Unions were the 1998 official corporate sponsor of the Council. There are over 70 participating credit unions throughout Ontario working with the Council and local fire departments to promote fire safety in the community.

The Council has also forged a strong partnership with American Sensors and its parent company, North American Detectors Inc. American Sensors provides the smoke alarms and CO detectors for the Alarmed for Life program and supports the Council in many other endeavours.
